The Snow Peaker Starter Pack

👋 Hi! I’ve been an avid user of Snow Peak equipment for 10 years. In that time I’ve used or have some experience with nearly every product in their standard line, as well as some of their limited products.

Here I share my experience with some of my favorite Snow Peak products, as well as recommendations to get started while taking advantage of a few Snow Peak offers.

Takibi Fire & Grill

The center of the Snow Peak camping experience is “takibi” meaning “bonfire” in Japanese.

I’ve used the large version with grill for years. It will patina and show use over time. Simply perform basic cleaning and it will last multiple life-times.

Features · Manufactured in the metal-working capital of Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan, nothing comes close to its quality of construction combined with portability. Accessories like the included grill top, or seperately available charcoal bed allow for multiple types of use.

Value · Priced competitively with options like the Solo fire pit, but with greater portability and modularity.

Purchase a propane burner and adapter set from Zutto for use during fire bans.

IGT Camp Kitchen Starter Set

Something shared amongst Snow Peakers is a love of food. Especially, delicious meals prepared outside when hosting friends and family. The IGT (Iron Grill Tale) system makes this incredibly convenient and in some cases, better than your kitchen at home. I’ve used several variations of this system, it’s a process of trying things out and learning what works best for you.

Features · Featuring multiple ways to store, surface area for prep, and core tools for cooking.

Value · This starter set is the most econimcal way to quickly have some of the most essential elements of the IGT system. Start here, and add on, adapt, and modify as your outdoor cooking ambition grows.

Entry Pack TT

The Vault tent was my first shelter purchase from Snow Peak. I wish I had instead purchased the Entry Pack TT which also comes with a tarp designed to compliment the lines and colors of the tent.

Features · You could squeeze 4 adults, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The tent is spacious and tall enough to stand in (I’m 5’8”) without crouching. There is a small living space up front with mesh hideaway doors to improve ventilation and visibility. A vestibule in the back is great for tucking away unsightly bags and bins, while maintaining access from outside or inside the tent.

Value · This is the most affordable shelter and tarp combo you can purchase from Snow Peak, capable of comfortabily fitting family of 2 adults and 2 small children.

Renewed Bamboo My Table

Easy to pack, easy to move around your site – this little table quickly becomes your campsite best friend. I have the bamboo as well as the takibi version (metal top allows for using close to flames and hot surfaces.
Features · The My Table is light, collapseable, and quick to set up. The Mini Flame creates a candle like experience with an adjustable flame. I recommend using it as a great way to make use of those iso-butane canisters that have the smallest amount of fuel left. Yes, you can use iso-butane from other brands.
Value · Highly adaptable and durable, it’s worth every penny.
